Immigrant Rights Group to Host Rally to Call for the Abolishment of ICE, Protect DACA, and Support for a Clean Dream Act

San Jose, CA -- Immigrant rights organization Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN) will be gathering at San Jose City Hall on Wednesday August 29, 2018 to make demands  regarding immigration policies in the wake of a summer of terror from the Trump Administration against immigrant families.

“The escalated war on immigrants by the Trump regime continues to expose horrific conditions at immigration detention centers and harmful deportations”, said SIREN Executive Director Maricela Gutierrez.  “There hasn't been a legislative solution to protect immigrants and refugees, and Congress has failed to act to protect immigrant lives. We demand to abolish ICE, protect DACA, and support a Clean DREAM Act”

The rally will include speakers who have direct experience with family separation and detention, faith leaders, DACA recipients, and powerful visuals that depict the terror and inhumane acts of ICE enforcement.
