Know your Voting Rights!

What Are My Rights as a Voter?

As Election Day nears, we want to remind you of your rights as a voter. You have several protections that will help you extend your voice at the polls.

Why Vote?

  • It’s Your Right and Responsibility

  • It’s Your Voice

  • It impacts your quality of life

Your Rights:

  • You have the right to vote free of intimidation

  • You have the right to cast a ballot as long as you are in line at the polling place by 8pm

  • If you vote by mail, and have not received your ballot by Election Day. You can still cast a provisional ballot at your polling place. (Your provisional ballot will be counted as soon as your local Registrar’s office confirms you have not voted twice.)

If you have questions about your ballot, you can call (408) 299-8683

To see if your ballot has been received and counted by the Santa Clara County Registrar’s office please visit www.sccvote.org and click on the “Track Vote By Mail Ballot” box

Sign Your Envelope

Sign your name by the red X, and then print your address and the date on the back of the return envelope.

If your signature is missing or does not match your voter registration card, your ballot cannot be counted.
